Hereford Cathedral
Hereford Cathedral is the Cathedral Church of the Anglican Diocese of Hereford. A place of worship has existed on the site of the present building since the 8th century or earlier. The present building was begun in 1079.
In 2017 and 2018 McMillan & Holder were invited by local prominent restoration socialist, I J Preece, to undertake major works to all 7 Clerestory level windows on the north west aisle. Removing, templating, masoning new and installing window / hood/ mullion components.
Significant replacement of pinnacles above the North transept.
A new Pierced Panel Cross above the north transept.
Figurative carvings to form the label stops on the hood moulded North transept window.
Significant square metres of pointing.
As well as comprehensive repairs, splicing and replacement of the walls and cocks comb coping continuing down the North Aisle.
