Georgian Country House

McMillan & Holder were commissioned to carve and install this impressive doorway to an imposing 17th Century Georgian Country House. Working with the esteemed Heritage Builders, I.J. Preece and sons, the degraded stone doorway was re-carved in Woodkirk Sandstone to faithfully recreate every detail of this spectacular Georgian stone door surround.

After accurate templating and recording, the masons at McMillan & Holder passionately carved and installed this impressive door. The level of detail and quality needed by the clients and nature of the project lead to one of our most enjoyable projects.
